Jungle Experience is one of Koh Phangan’s biggest house and techno parties, and Rob has been part of its story for 16 years.
As a resident DJ, he knows the dancefloor from behind the decks. As the person responsible for DJ bookings and musical selection on the main stage, he also helps shape the night from the first set to the last.

Rob has made multiple appearances on Centreforce Radio, with his music played on the station every week. Strong support from Sam Supplier and Karess Records brings his productions to listeners far beyond Koh Phangan.
That relationship extends into the studio. Rob and Sam collaborate on releases and put out music on each other’s labels, connecting KARESS and Moon Island Records.

- 1995
The first vinyl sets
Begins mixing in the UK, playing house parties and smaller events.
- 2005
Koh Phangan becomes home
Moves from the UK to Thailand and begins building his life in music on the island.

Beach Lounge Bar
Opens Beach Lounge Bar in Haad Rin, creating a home for underground house and techno.
- 2010
Jungle Experience
Begins his residency and DJ booking role. Sixteen years later, he oversees DJs and musical selection on the main stage.

Moon Island Records
Co founds the independent label, supporting underground artists from Thailand and beyond.

Half Moon Festival
Adds a residency at another of the island’s major events.

Remixing with Phil Hartnoll
Collaborates with one half of Orbital on remixes of “What It Is” and “Enlightenment”.

A life built around the dancefloor.
Rob Gritton is a British DJ, producer and co founder of Moon Island Records, based on Koh Phangan, Thailand. He has spent 16 years at the heart of Jungle Experience, where he is a resident DJ and oversees DJ bookings and musical selection for the main stage.
From his first vinyl sets in the UK in 1995 to his move to Koh Phangan in 2005, Rob’s career has grown around a love of house and techno. Opening Beach Lounge Bar in Haad Rin helped establish his place in the island’s underground community. Today, his sets move between driving tech house, rolling techno and indie dance, from jungle festival crowds to intimate beach sessions.
Alongside Jungle Experience, Rob holds a residency at Half Moon Festival and plays regularly across the island. He has shared Jungle Experience lineups with Martin Ikin, Matt Sassari, Yousef, Supernova and Orbital’s Phil Hartnoll. His own productions include “Hypnotech” and “Got The Feeling”. Through Moon Island Records, which he co founded in 2013, he also gives local and international producers a platform for music connected to Thailand’s underground scene.
Beyond the island, Rob has made multiple appearances on Centreforce Radio and his music receives weekly airplay on the station. Supported by Sam Supplier and Karess Records, he also collaborates with Sam on releases including “Tour of Thailand” on KARESS.
His studio work includes collaborations with Phil Hartnoll of Orbital. Together, they remixed “What It Is” and created the Deepah and Banger versions of JawJee’s “Enlightenment”.
